It suggests she is something equally attention-grabbing for her big comeback appearance - at the MTV Video Music Awards watched by millions.

"Mindfreak" magician Criss Angel will guide Spears in and out of a series of mirrors, making it seem as though she vanishes and then reappears several times, a source claims.

Other dancers in the complicated number are being called upon to harness up for simulated flight, the source said.

Insiders hope a successful return t form will help the star overcome her personal problems, including her bitter custody fight for her children with ex Kevin Federline.
